ELLIS BEACH OPEN MIC
Background… Host Gibby Todd was in at the start of the whole Open Mic feature which began in Greenwich Village NYC in the late 60’s early 70’s on Monday Night’s in an effort to liven up bars and clubs on the quietest night of the week. In many cases it became the best night of the week! Gibby Co-hosted the Open Stage Event in Glasgow at the great Celtic Connections Festival for 12 years. Many of the 1200 acts he heard in that time now tour the world as fully fledged professional performers! It is with great honour that now Ellis Beach Bar & Grill calls on Gibby to host our very own Open Mic, once a month on Sunday afternoon !!!
So to all performers come out to Ellis Beach and get your chance to play in public 2 or 3 of your songs, and be heard! Sadly we cannot accommodate bands or groups.
